Kate Middleton’s Sweet Two-Word Response About Prince William Steals the Spotlight

Catherine, Princess of Wales, shared a playful moment with singer Ronan Keating and his wife, Storm, during a special reception at St James’s Palace on June 2, 2026. The event, hosted by King Charles III and Queen Camilla, celebrated 125 years of Cancer Research UK. When Ronan praised Prince William and asked Catherine to pass along his greetings, she smiled and replied, “So do I,” prompting laughter from the couple.

The reception carried personal significance for Catherine and King Charles, as both had publicly revealed cancer diagnoses in 2024. Catherine announced that she had completed chemotherapy in September 2024 and shared that she was in remission in January 2025. The evening brought together researchers, medical professionals, volunteers, and people affected by cancer to recognize progress in treatment and the importance of continued research.

Other conversations highlighted the personal impact of cancer, including Catherine’s exchange with Sebastien Bowen, the widower of campaigner Dame Deborah James. Meanwhile, William was in Scotland attending an engagement marking the 125th anniversary of the Royal Navy’s Submarine Service. The couple had also recently celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary on April 29, 2026.

Although the evening focused on a serious cause, Catherine’s brief response became a memorable moment because of its warmth and humor. Her two words offered a glimpse of affection for her husband without a formal speech or grand declaration. Beyond the lighthearted exchange, the reception underscored the Royal Family’s support for cancer research and the importance of improving care for patients and their families.
